Bird watching on Sunday !

Sorry its a bit late but heres what me and my Dad saw on Sunday when we went out bird watching.

Sandwell Valley- Before going down to the hide I took part in a national survey (big garden bird watch) this involved me and a few other birders watching the feeders near the old centre for an hour and recording what birds we saw. We mainly recorded the highest number of a single species we saw.

Feeders- Willow tit x2, Coal tit x1, Greenfinch x15, Bullfinch x5, Wood pigeon x16, Chaffinch 4+, Dunnock x2, Robin x3, Magpie 5+. We also had a quick look down the marsh and spotted 3 snipe.

Hide- Goosander 5+, Mallard 5+, Tufted duck 5+, Snipe x1, Robin x1, Teal 5+, Pochard 5+, Black headed gull 30+, Coot 20+, Carrion crow 5+, Lesser black backed gull 5+, Mute swan 5+.

Bartley Green reservoir- Black headed gull 30+, Lesser black backed gull 30+, Heron x1, Golden eye x8 (males + females), Canada goose.

Thanks for reading.
