Birding today.

Hi all. Its been a cold wet and windy day today and most of you would think (and know) that today was not the best day to go out bird watching. But me and my dad still did a little bit of bird watching depite the terrible weather.

RSPB Sandwell valley- Swallow 10+, Goosander x6, House martin 5+, Oystercatcher x2, Lapwing 10+ (and 1 chick), Canada goose 30+, Tufted duck 20+, Carrion crow 5+, White throat (only heard near hide) x1. We also saw a bird which we first thought was a Grey heron but its lucky we took a second glance at it because we realised it was to small which could mean the bird was a Little egret but we are not sure.

Bartley green reservoir - Swallow 5+, Canada geese x2, Lesser black backed gull 5+.

And I know I keep saying this but I am being serious this time I am now begining to keep you posted on local bird news, and UK national bird news to find all the latest news visit the Local and UK national bird news pages which you can find on the list of pages associated with this blog.

Thanks for reading.
