Today was a good day for me because I have had my first Sandwell valley water rail, I have seen them on a number of other reserves but never Sandwell Valley. I have heard reports of them being on the reserve for many years and it was great to finally see one around. The bird showed very well and for around five minutes before going back into the reeds.
A Common gull has also been seen on the reserve today but I couldn't get my eyes on it today.
Thanks for reading.
