Hi all, John Holian gave me a call this evening to see whether I wanted to join him and Sharon Holian on a walk round Clayhanger in search of the Ring Ouzel that was still around today, we had no luck in seeing the bird we stayed a long time and couldn't get any views of it, we did however get views of a camouflaged photographer in the field the bird was which was a little annoying.
I had the bird yesterday so wasn't to gutted with not seeing it but it still would have been great to see it again. We did manage to get a few good birds including Common Tern, Snipe, Whitethroat, and Grey Heron. We also got nice views of a Fox in the middle of a field on the way back the car.
