Hi readers, me and Dad didn't go birding today but me and the family went on a afternoon out to Chasewater, I didn't have my bins on me but I kept my eyes open for anything about. From my glance over the main lake I saw little else but Canada Geese and Mallards, as usual Chasewater is very quiet at this time of year. I did see a single Willow Warbler and a Sand Martin on our walk around.
While I was out John Holian sent me a text alerting me to a SPOTTED SANDPIPER at Belvide reservoir, but because I wasn't birding with Dad today I couldn't go and see it, John did offer a trip to go and see the bird but I wouldn't have been back on time to go along with him. I would have liked to have seen the bird but sometimes its not to be, if luck is with me the bird may stay for a week and I may be lucky enough to go up and see it.
Tonight I'm aware that the Springwatch webcams are being turned on (online) I have seen that one of the nests will be a Grey wagtails nest which should be nice to watch. I will most likely do a little post about that a little later on.
There should also be a post on Tuesday because me and my mate James are planning to go birding on that day.
Thanks for reading have a good week all- WMBB
