Great saturday afternoon of birding.

Today I went birding with John Holian and Brian marsh heres what we saw.

Gailey- Grey Wagtail x2, Pied wagtail, Grey Heron, Great crested grebe 5+, Tufted duck 20+, Drake Scaup x1, Black redstart x1. 

Belvide- Golden eye 20+,  Shellduck x10, Oystercatcher x4, Redshank x2, Curlew x3, Chiffchaff x3, Phesant 5+, Sand martin x2, Snipe 10+, A very starange bright (almost white) coloured gadwall x1, Waterrail x1,  Little owl x1

Some great birds there we think the blackredstart is the same one that has been there for a while we were also very pleased to see to summer visiters The two sandmartins and the 3 chiffchaffs, hopefully this means that things are going to be picking up now that spring is on its way. I was also very pleased to get the blackredstart and a new life list bird for me the drake scaup.
