Hi all I have been out birding with John Holian today heres what we have seen.
Radford meadows- Common crane x1, Lapwing x1, Mallard 5+.
Gailey- Swallow 5+, Sand martin 5+, Blue tit 5+, black headed gull 30+, Mute swan x2, Grey heron x3.
I was outstanded to see my first Common crane today, the bird has been at Radford meadows for a week now so it would be a good chance for any birders to see it. We dont think that the bird is from the reccent reintroduced groups of birds simply because it does not have any rings on its feet. There has also been reports of two Gargany being at the site but there was no sign of them today. Also it would be good if you all could take a look at the local bird news and UK national bird news pages these pages will give almost dailey updates of birds all around the west midlands and the UK.
