Hi readers, didn't do any proper birding today as such but went on a visit to the UCAS convention in Manchester today, turned out to be a very informative event and something I would advise anyone who is preparing for University to go to. Anyway onto the tiny bit of birding done today, the long coach trip gave me a chance to do a bit of staring out of the window, and on the way to the event I happened to notice plenty of Buzzards which I'm sure you will know is very common to see in the countryside much of our Motorways goes through, anyway quite far into the journey I had to second look one of two birds of prey I could see because one turned out to be a Red Kite along with a Buzzard higher above it, an unexpected year tick I was very happy with.
After the event we had a look round Manchester, and just as we were leaving I looked up at a Peregrine gliding above me just outside the Convention center, something else I didn't expect to see so easily and the second Bird of prey year tick of the day, I managed to see another Peregrine shortly afterwards which to me appeared to be a younger bird. I have to say although I didn't actually go out to do any birding I saw a couple of good birds today without really having to even try. There shall be a post on Sunday as usual I shall Tweet when I have posted it.
Thanks for reading enjoy the rest of the week- WMBB
